haven't managed this site for a long time, I realized certain functionality like zip lookup didn't work anymore, that's now fixed, and looks like gas prices are regularly updated now :)

Also the forums was being spammed with junk links which are all cleaned up, however it means posting message would require use registration/sign in...

Multiple tags are now fully suported,you can add,remove or edit tag of existing spots.

Some UI updates

Updates:

Improved the user interface so less clicks on drop down menus is needed for both search by city and by zip.

A status called "loading" is now added so people will not misinterpret slow-loading as missing results.

More will follow later.

Address not recognized problems

Quite a few of you mentioned their addresses are not recognized when trying to add new point, it would be great if you can tell me what the address you try to add is, so I can examine closer... I have tested out many addresses and they seem to work, so I really need your help!

Exceeding Google Map API 50,000 page view limit

Hmmmm.. looks like My WikiMap have exceeded this limit today, looking at the log the page views today is more than 60,000. And IE pops up an error whenever the site tries to load Google Map ( I checked by removing the Gmap API call the error goes away), weird thing is Firefox doesn't really complaint... Anyone knows why?

Also thanks for all the people who give meaningful comments. The register bug is fixed, and the listing panel is now moved back to the right just like before, street column is not shown since I think if people find the city close enough they can always click on the red dot on the left side of the listing panel

My WikiMap beta launched !

Finally Cheapgas got a long due update, and it's now called My WikiMap

New features include:

• Search by Zip (both US and Canada)
  
• Update the prices yourself right on the map !
• Incorrect diesel price fixed.
• Support for other geo data in form of tagging.
• Japan is now on the map too, help populate the prices now!
• Better interface (a work in progress)
